Research

My focus is on kidney disease including congenital developmental anomalies, medical kidney and allograft pathology, hereditary kidney disease and kidney tumors. My experimental work concentrates on the pathogenesis of congenital obstructive nephropathy in animal models and in humans. We use newborn animals, in vitro systems and gene/protein expression profiling to identify major changes in the developing kidney following congenital obstruction.
